STOP στις εξαγωγές φάρμακων προς την Ελλάδα από γερμανική εταιρεία

Η γερμανική φαρμακευτική εταιρεία Biotest ανακοίνωσε ότι θα σταματήσει τις εξαγωγές της προς την Ελλάδα τον Ιούλιο, εξαιτίας των συσσωρευμένων ανεξόφλητων χρεών. Πρόκειται για την πρώτη φαρμακευτική εταιρεία που δρομολογεί την αποχώρησή της από την ελληνική αγορά, σύμφωνα με δημοσίευμα του πρακτορείου Ρόιτερ. 

To δημοσίευμα επικαλείται τις δηλώσεις του οικονομικού διευθυντή της εταιρείας, Μίχαελ Ράμροθ, στη γερμανική εφημερίδα «Μπέρσεν-Τσάιτουνγκ». «Εχουμε ενημερώσει το ελληνικό υπουργείο Υγείας από τον Απρίλιο ότι θα φύγουμε από την αγορά εντός τριμήνου εάν δεν γίνουν πληρωμές», φέρεται να είπε ο κ. Ράμροθ. Και πρόσθεσε ότι δεν πιστεύει ότι «θα πέσει μάννα εξ ουρανού τον Ιούνιο».

Κανονικά θα εκτελούνται από τα ιδιωτικά φαρμακεία οι ιατρικές συνταγές των ασφαλισμένων του νέου ενιαίου Ταμείου, οι οποίες εκδόθηκαν από την 1^η Ιουνίου και ενόσω βρίσκονται σε εξέλιξη οι κινητοποιήσεις των φαρμακοποιών. 

Σύμφωνα με σχετική εγκύκλιο του Ενιαίου Οργανισμού Παροχής Υπηρεσιών Υγείας (ΕΟΠΥΥ), κανονικά θα εκτελούνται από τα ιδιωτικά φαρμακεία οι ιατρικές συνταγές των ασφαλισμένων του νέου ενιαίου Ταμείου, οι οποίες εκδόθηκαν από την 1^η Ιουνίου και ενόσω βρίσκονται σε εξέλιξη οι κινητοποιήσεις των φαρμακοποιών. 

Computer model successfully predicts drug side effects

A new set of computer models has successfully predicted negative side effects in hundreds of current drugs, based on the similarity between their chemical structures and those molecules known to cause side effects, according to a paper published in the journal Nature. The team, co-led by researchers in the UCSF School of Pharmacy, Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) and SeaChange Pharmaceuticals, Inc. - a UCSF spinoff company launched by two of the paper's authors - set out to test how well a computer model could help researchers eliminate risky drug prospects by identifying which ones were most likely to have adverse side effects. 

Lundbeck plans to establish a more flexible commercial organisation in Europe

H. Lundbeck A/S (Lundbeck) today announced plans to restructure its commercial organisation in Europe. The aim is partly to establish a more flexible commercial infrastructure with respect to detailing to general practitioners ahead of multiple future product launches and partly to maintain cost control. The plan is to uphold Lundbeck's position as a leading CNS specialist and secure successful launches of new products. 

The proposed restructuring is intended to pave the way for a successful transition of Lundbeck's European product portfolio with several potential product launches in the coming years. Furthermore, the initiative aims to mitigate increased pressure from healthcare reforms, generic competition and uncertainty regarding pricing and reimbursement in Europe.

Genentech expands Alzheimer's partnership with AC Immune

Genentech and AC Immune announced a second deal on treatments for Alzheimer's disease Monday. The two companies, which collaborated on crenezumab, which targets beta amyloid proteins, are now taking on Tau proteins, which are thought to contribute to the degenerative brain disease. Both approaches employ antibodies to combat the disease.
