BRAND MANAGER IMMUNOLOGY   


The Brand Manager Immunology role is the lead marketer for a specific brand in several indications and works in partnership with the South Eastern Europe Franchise General Manager and EU Immunology Marketing Manager to develop the short, medium and long term strategy. The Brand Manager will lead the implementation of the brand plan with a high degree of autonomy and will support the Franchise General Manager as and when day to day issues occur, to ensure the right action plan is developed and implemented. He/she will be monitoring the agreed KPIs and recommending changes to strategy working closely  with the SEE General Franchise and EU Immunology Marketing Manager to agree financial estimates


 

Major Accountabilities will include:

 

  • Develops and agrees with top management marketing strategies for the products, develops annual marketing/brand plans (situation analysis, strategy, objectives, action plan and control) to maximise profitability and build product awareness in Greece.
  • In cooperation with Sales Management, to propose sales objectives to Franchise General Manager, and to plan all necessary strategic actions to accomplish them.
  • To plan and control the promotional material to be used in order to achieve sales objectives in accordance to the product life cycle stage and market needs.
  • Develops and organizes, with the support and under control of the Immunology Medical Department, communication campaigns (e.g. conferences, symposia, round tables) for the assigned products.
  • To participate in the formulation of the 10 year plan (sales, pricing, new products, etc)
  • To evaluate needs and trends, and exploit market opportunities in favour of the company;
  • To coordinate marketing activities and make sure that they are according to Europe and area directives.
  • To coordinate with Departments involved and control new product development, and ensure appropriate packaging and successful launching.
  • To evaluate and define product pricing for country market, in line with  area and corporate pricing policies
  • To actively contribute to the Area Management Leadership Team objectives and best practice sharing. 
  • Monitors and evaluates product performance and profits on local market of UCB ( working with business analysis group, provides regular detailed analysis of regional/national brand performance to Franchise General  Manager.
  • Monitors and evaluates competitor products and adapts marketing plans accordingly.
  • Manages annual marketing/brands budget; periodically report and summary for  Franchise General Manager

  • Builds networking relationships with external parties (opinion leaders, press representatives, patient organisations) and internal partners (Sales and Marketing within other affiliates).  Represents UCB towards the right forums, organisations and target groups in order to enhance UCB image and business.
  • Lead Brand Team (Sales/Medical/Marketing) & reinforce Team working and cross-functional communication.
  • Ensure collaboration and co-creation within Brand Team.
  • Identify and implement innovative ideas, initiatives and approaches in order to bring value to our everyday business. Contribute in Area projects.
  • Prepares monthly product forecast in liaise with the Supply Chain Manager

 
This role will require extensive liaison with the Franchise General Manager, Medical Functions and EU Marketing colleagues.  The role also requires strong peer leadership into the sales organization.

Desired Skills & Experience


Profile:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant Scientific area preferred
  • Previous marketing experience leading a brand
  • Experience of the relevant market place would be advantageous
  • Experience of writing and implementing one year tactical plans
  • Pharma sales / medical experience will be a plus
  • Proven ability to implement tactical plan with autonomy
  • Experience of influencing global and regional functions and individuals to achieve suitable direction for Greek business
  • Experience of available PMI tools to assist monitoring of brands performance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent knowledge of Greek and English
