Leo Pharma presents award to European students

Leo Pharma has presented its annual BioBusiness and Innovation Programme (BBIP) business plan award to a group of innovative European students.

The Danish team of Tobias Aabye Dam, Nina Glasser Heede, Louise Brink Thomsen and Simon Sylvest Rasmussen claimed the prize for their BBIP project Flow Induced Dispersion Analysis earlier this month.

According to the pharmaceutical company,

the jury presented the award based on the project's sound business plan, which took into account innovative solutions, well-documented analysis and excellent market understanding.

Kim Kjoller, senior vice-president for global development at Leo Pharma, said: "By offering the best students technical, biological and business understanding, this programme will generate candidates who are able to think more cross-functionally."

The company has also announced plans to sponsor a new BBIP master degree in biobusiness entrepreneurship in Denmark.

It also comes after Leo Pharma presented research grants to two European scientists conducting innovative dermatology research in November 2011.
